RESPOND TO BOTH RESPONSE (Research to Nursing)
Reply 1 ANAHI – There is an ongoing need for evidence-based practice and to be adaptable to change. As time progresses, there might be a need for change in other processes involved in patient care. The change agents for healthcare are often nurses that implement changes to improve care standards. Being resistant to change could create large gaps in forward moving progress in the nursing profession. Class, should organizations that promote evidence-based practice provide nurses with access to scholarly resources outside of the hospital setting?

Reply 2 NOEMIE – Thank you for starting our first discussion of the term related to the value of evidence-based practice (EBP). It is interesting to hear that an organization should be the change agent and ensure that nurses keep up to date with practice. Having been affiliated with various organizations, I have been able to see how some organizations are generally more successful than others. A large part of their success comes from the management team and their experience with patient care. Strong leaders could relate to the nurses and have relevant patient care experience, and believe in the importance of elevating nursing practice. Class, how effective would a leadership team be if they were promoting change without having the experience to relate to the evolving practice of nursing?
