For this assignment, imagine you are an expatriate manager for a subsidiary of a major company headquartered in the United States. You are preparing a PowerPoint presentation to brief the CEO on your plan to address the safety issues specific to the country (of your choice) where you are working as the expatriate manager.

In your introduction, discuss four concerns in the workplace: benefits, safety, health, and global security issues. List one issue for each concern listed.

Next, prepare a solution for each of the four concerns. Discuss how your solutions address the issues within the workplace. Discuss what would be the responsibility of the global leadership team.

Conclude your presentation with a summary of how you noted the needs of your global audience, how you will design and deliver the training for employees keeping in mind Geert Hofstede’s research about cultural differences, and your plans to assess its success.

Be sure to include clear and specific speaker notes for each slide. You must include a minimum of one image or graphic within your presentation. You must use at least two sources, with one being the textbook.

Instructions/Guidelines in this post and the “Unit VII PPT” post below count in the grading. Always use current sources that are under 15 years old, and peer-reviewed sources from the CSU library.  Do not use a “Google Search” for sources, do not use books except for the course textbook, do not use the unit study guide as a source.  Use professional journal and/or professional business magazine articles . Always include the course textbook as a reference in every assignment. Be sure to include both an “Introduction” and “Conclusion” slide. The “Introduction” slide serves the same purpose as a “table of contents” in a book and should list the topics that will be addressed in separate slides. The topics on the introduction slide should be brief bullet points and then the titles of each of the next slides in order would have titles that match the topics and bullets on the introduction slide.

This Unit covers Chapters 5 & 6 in the textbook on “Recruiting Job Candidates” and “Selecting New Employees”. There are a PowerPoint presentation and a journal post.  This is a logical next step carried over from unit II which focused on federal employment laws and diversity in the workplace. This unit picks up where that one leaves off focusing on the importance of recruiting talent and effective methods to select employees who fit the culture of the organization and that is never more important than in selecting leaders. Be sure to use current references for this assignment that are under 15 years old  that is peer-reviewed sources.

The PowerPoint presentation has to include speaker notes and appropriate graphics to enhance the overall quality of the presentation.  Do not use voiceovers and make sure the speaker notes are thorough and detailedYour slides should be brief and concisely worded bullets using the “6 x 6” rule. No more than 6 bullets per slide and no more than 6 words per bulletThen the speaker notes go into detail to address and analyze each bullet point with originality, your own words, and examples. Approach the speaker notes as full essays to cover all the main topics and bullet points on the slides.  The “Sample PPT” attached is a good model for you to use to put together your slides. Also, ensure that the presentation has an “introducton” and “Conclusion” slide. The “Introduction” slide is just a list of the main topics in bullet format. Then each slide following the introduction would be a separate slide with a title that matches the bullet points on the introduction. See the attached PPT Sample file.
