In my opinion, the relationship between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership lies in how leader with high emotional leadership are better able to understand their own emotions and motivations (Self-Awareness and Self-Regulation) and those of their followers (empathy). The leaders use this understanding to inspire and motivate their teams towards shared goals, while also fostering strong interpersonal relationships (socials skills).

Diving deeper into combining transformational leadership with emotional intelligence: combining transformation leadership with emotional intelligence enhances team effectiveness significantly. Leaders who are emotionally intelligent can connect with their team members on a deeper meaningful level. Really focusing on their needs, motivations, and challenges.
